British GT 2008: Thruxton Race One Qualifying

Cadena returned to the front row with second place on the grid for race one at Thruxton.

Barrie Whight was sixth during the lunchtime qualifying session, as a red flag was bought out to deal with a heavily damaged Ferrari on circuit. As the session was resumed, Barrie held half a lap back from the rest of the field, determined to get a clear lap. The theory worked! On his second lap of the resumed session, Barrie elevated the Aston Martin DBRS9 to the front row, only headed by local pro, Jeremy Metcalfe in a Ferrari.

So, the yellow Aston will start from the front row for race one. Back where they belong.
